This report concludes the major points of the presentations that were undertaken in the symposium of Communication and Media for ASEAN Digitalization, organised by the Communication Arts for ASEAN Online International Graduate Program, School of Communication Arts, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU)
The forum, held on 20-21 June, 2017, at Seminar 1 building, 2nd floor, Room 5209, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU), Nonthaburi-Bangkok, Thailand
Participants who participated in the symposium were 1) the high school teachers, Ministry of Education; 2) the teachers in schools under the “Spirit of ASEAN Program”; Ministry of Education; 3) the University students relevant to ASEAN; 4) the professional media relevant to ASEAN. Furthermore, the Communication Arts for ASEAN Online International Graduate Program invited its key partners both from Thailand and ASEAN, ASIA to be the speakers and experts; Thailand, Japan, Philippine, and Singapore.
The main objectives of this project were 1) to provide training and practices on media literacy especially in using ICT to develop education and people to be well equipped under the counter of ASEAN Digitalization, and 2) to link all networks among all key partners in the field of ICT for educational development to learn more innovation from other countries as well as among themselves to be well equipped under the context of ASEAN Digitalization.
