AMIC’s initial activity for 2023 is A Dialogue on Commonalities, Diversities, and Complexities of Asian and Western Communication Theories. This is set on 26 January 2023 at
The forum will be anchored by foremost communication theorists and scholars – Dr. Wimal Dissanayake, Dr. Mark Deuze, and Dr. Yoshitaka Miike.
The dialogue aims to sustain continuing discussion on rediscovering and constructing Asian communication. We recognize that to rediscover our Asian theories, we need not be isolationist. It may be helpful to understand the commonalities and differences between Asian and western communication theories.
