Dr. Piyachat Lomchavakarn is Associate Professor in the School of Communication Arts at Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University. Her background is in Law, Advertising and Sociology and her research interests and expertise are in the field of Law in Advertising and Mass Communication. Dr. Piyachat is also committed to empowering disadvantaged, marginalized and minority groups in Thailand and the Asia-Pacific Region leveraging the power of Information and Communication Technology to advance sustainable development.

ROSECHONGPORN

Dr. Rosechongporn Komolsevin is an Associate Professor in Communication at Bangkok University, Bangkok, Thailand. She had served as the Chair for the doctoral program in Communication at Bangkok University for 20 years. As an active scholar, she has published a number of research articles, books, and concept papers on intercultural communication, public relations, mass media and marketing, among others. She has also served as an evaluation researcher for the Government Public Relations Department, and Thai Public Broadcasting Service (Thai PBS).

Monwipa Wongrujira

Monwipa Wongrujira received her Bachelor Degree of Arts, major in Journalism from Thammasat University in 1991. She received a Royal Thai Government scholarship to pursue her Master Degree in Journalism at Ohio State University during 1995-1997. With Fulbright scholarship, she graduated Ph.D. in Mass Communication from Florida State University in 2008. She is currently an assistant professor in School of Communication Arts, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University. Her research interests include journalism, communication policy, mass communication and media study, media ethics.

Jude Genilo

Dr. Jude William Genilo is the Head of the Media Studies and Journalism Department, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). He earned his Doctor of Philosophy and Master's Degree in Communication from the University of the Philippines-Diliman. He also has undergraduate degrees in Economics and Management from De La Salle University-Manila. Before joining ULAB, Prof. Genilo headed the postgraduate programme of a prestigious communication school in Jakarta, Indonesia and served as a research fellow at the Kasetsart University Research and Development Institute (KURDI) in Bangkok, Thailand. He has received numerous awards such as the ASIA Fellows Awards for 2004-05 and the UN Foundation-International Communication Association Research Grant Award. He is author of the book: Community-Based Communication: A New Approach to Development Communication. He is the editor of the ICT for Development Working Paper Series and is co-editor (with Prof. Brian Shoesmith) of the anthology Bangladesh's Changing Mediascape: From State Control to Market Forces (published by Intellect UK). Dr. Jude also received in August 2014 the Education Leadership Award from CMO Asia in Pan Pacific Hotel in Singapore.

UnaloamDr. Unaloam Chanrungmaneekul is currently a lecturer at STOU School of Communication Arts. Her research is grounded in critical approaches that relate to three main areas. Firstly, the relations between media, communications and communities and change, power, identities and globalization. Secondly, she has been exploring interdisciplinary approaches in Sociology, Humanities, Art, political economy, culture, Journalism, Film Studies, Film Industry, and visual research. Lastly, with a background in journalism and filmmaking, she is conducting research on critical thinking skills in journalism and visual media. Dr. Unaloam is the founder of the Film and Television Section at Burapha University in Thailand; between 2009 and 2011 she was also appointed the Head of Research Projects ongoing at Burapha University Department of Communication Arts. She gained her Doctorate Degree of Communication and Media Studies from Loughborough University, UK, supported by the Thai government scholarship. She also obtained a Master Degree in Mass Communications from the University of Leicester, UK, supported by the Bursaries of the University of Leicester.
